The Social Society events on site have developed steadily over the past couple of years, with friend of the fields Toni Finnemore hosting a number of outdoor day retreats over the summer months. The events encompass a range of inclusive and creative activities and talks aimed at bringing inspiration and discussion to the fold for people who 'want to give back, but on their won terms'. We have seen some fantastic and talented teachers and speakers come together for these daytime sessions. The latest, and in our opinion greatest, was no exception to this, with drumming workshops, lantern making, walking meditation, cold dip saunas and spoken word performances. The utilisation of the space breathed new life into areas we are now looking to develop for events next year and the whole event went down as a great way to see off the season. We look forward to working more in this space next year.
